2012年2月29日，欧盟正式发布了最新版的工业安全头盔标准。

新标准对工业安全头盔的内衬材质、外形、抗冲击测试、穿刺试验、防火测试及绝缘性等各个指标进行了重新的修订。标准除保留原标准对产品的机械强度的要去之外，增加了电气安全的要求。从2012年6月1日起，出口到欧盟的工业头盔需满足新的标准的要求。
